Press release from the City of Cornelius: January 27, 2022 Residents of the Town of Cornelius are advised to prepare for icy conditions that may develop Friday night (01/28) and end early Saturday morning (01/29). Snowfall is likely. Rain is expected to begin Friday evening and will be followed by temperatures in the mid-low 20s.  Public Works crews may not be able to pre-treat roads due to the rain. However, they will be monitoring road conditions and clearing/treating roads as conditions allow.  We recommend that our residents and visitors use caution while traveling as some roads may be hazardous.  Should our residents need assistance with any weather-related concerns or incidents, they may call the non-emergency Police line: 704-892-7773.
