Black lab to good home

Description

I'm looking for a good and loving home for a 4-year-old black lab named Buster. He is my father-in-law's best friend. Both he and my mother-in-law (both 80 years old) are moving into assisted living in the very near future and the facility can't accept Buster because he's too big of a dog for assisted living. We would take him, but our children are severely allergic to dogs. Buster has been with my in-laws since he was a 6-week-old puppy. He is pretty high energy, so he would love an owner who can play with him and take him on regular walks. He is quite wary around new people or new dogs, so he may take a bit of adjustment time to warm up, but once he does, he's your best friend. He currently lives with a cat and another small dog and gets along with them very well. He is house trained but has never had obedience training, which he would benefit from. He has never lived with children. He is neutered and has his shots and is very healthy. We are asking a small rehoming fee to make sure he goes to a good and loving home. As my in-laws are moving due to an emergent medical situation, we really need to find a place for him in about a week. Thank you!
