Job description ****Immediate Need**** Local San Diego Routes, Home Every Day! Kendal Floral/Florexpo (the largest importer of fresh-cut floral products in the United States), is seeking a Truck Driver with Class A License in Carlsbad, CA. You will make daily pick-ups from the company’s Distribution Center and deliver product to different local customers by safely driving a company truck. Your role will be to ensure the quality and quantity of floral products are delivered to the assigned warehouses and to ensure that deliveries are made in a timely manner to meet store requirements and deadlines and to pick up empty racks. SUMMARY Operate company vehicle to deliver product to store locations and pick up empty buckets and carts. Delivers product in a timely manner in order to meet store requirements and deadlines. Makes any additional pick-up and deliveries for the company as needed. ESSENTIAL REPONSIBILITIES Ensures equipment is in optimum operating condition. Accurately and safely loads truck according to invoices. Delivers, unloads and organizes carts in coolers. Performs necessary calculations and completes paperwork to ensure accurate and timely billing. QUALIFICATIONS Current Class A Driver’s License; clean driving record 2 years of verifiable driving experience with the safe operation of 24' or larger trucks. Delivery route experience Able to lift up 50lbs. overhead and maneuver loaded racks weighing over 500 lbs. up and down lift gates and ramps. Basic math skills and able to use calculator if necessary. SKILLS REQUIRED Ability to read maps/follows directions. Ability to count and verify quantity of pickups and deliveries. Ability to read reports and legibly record pickup and delivery information. Shift: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday 1:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Must be able to work overtime we participate in E-Verify.
