Meet Roger. He is a pup we took in to help him find a forever home. He is leash trained, crate trained and know his basic commands. He is also fully vetted with all shots and preventatives up to date and he is is microchipped. Roger wasn’t a rescue for medical reasons but for behavioral. He is shy when meeting new people and somewhat skittish but never aggressive. He absolutely loves other dogs, cats, and animals in general. He also loves kids more than adults (is less nervous about them and will approach them happily). He is also great going to the groomer, does great with baths, brushing, nail trims, etc. We are not 100% sure about his background but apparently he was at a puppy store for sale when he was young, didn’t sell and they wanted to send him back to where he came from, the breeder didn’t want him back and fortunately the driver of the transport truck knew us and reached out. We have had him for about 3 months now and he has made huge strides! He is perfect on leash, sits when you stop, and will let strangers pet him when he encounters them, but you can tell he doesn’t enjoy it. He likes being on his peoples laps and is always happy to run and play in the yard with the other dogs. We are located in East Durham and you are more than welcome to meet him.
