Summary: Looking for an experienced maintenance technician to join our team. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining and repairing physical structures of buildings, including electrical and plumbing; repairing/replacing appliances; and maintaining grounds. The ideal candidate must have experience in all areas of basic maintenance, be available for on call on rotation, be proficient in English and proficient in computer use. Responsibilities: Ability to perform building repairs, plumbing, painting, carpentry, light electrical, and basic appliance repair. Cleaning of common areas Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, etc.) Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, etc.) Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.) On-call rotation - required to respond to all emergency calls onsite within 30 minutes of receiving calls. Apartment make-readies Service requests – complete resident requests within 24 hours Snow removal during the winter season, operate snow removal equipment Assist other departments with moving appliances and unloading and storing supplies. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Enter new service requests, update statuses in computer system Assist in purchasing of the supplies and maintain accurate record in Purchase Order computer system Job Requirements: 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably residential Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and residents Ability to utilize computer systems to keep track of service requests and purchase orders Must pass a background check and drug screening At least 18 years of age Valid NJ driver’s license Ability to lift up to 75lbs Must possess basic knowledge of hand tools Standing and/or walking for long periods of time Schedule: 8 hour shift Weekend availability Monday to Friday On call rotation Interested Candidates: please email your resume and include salary expectations
