Job Description: Surplusmeister, LLC is seeking a trustworthy and motivated employee to fill an eBay lister position within our company. This position is on-site. Company Description: Located in Virginia Beach, VA, Surplusmeister, LLC sells unused government surplus, used industrial machinery and occasionally vintage/antique items, household goods and other odds and ends on eBay, our websites and various other online marketplaces. Job Responsibilities: • Unpack, verify, and record incoming merchandise or material • Clean products to prepare for product research and photographs • Research competitor pricing and previous sales history to establish competitive pricing • Research manufacturer and competitor product info to create “keyword” titles and descriptions to optimize online search visibility • Create product listing titles and descriptions per company and eBay specifications • Label and store listed product in designated areas • Pick, pack and ship customer orders for shipment when needed • Process returns - Inspect returned merchandise, checking for quality and condition of product. • Keep warehouse and current stock clean and well organized • Perform other administrative duties as assigned Qualifications and Requirements: • Previous experience listing on eBay or SixBit is preferred, but we will train the right candidate. • Strong written English skills are required. • Ability to stage and take flattering and detailed product photos • Ability to multitask, prioritize and thrive in fast-paced environment • Strong organizational skills • Must have a valid US driver’s license • Ability to lift up to 50lbs • Familiar with Windows PC’s and electronics • Comply with production expectations by creating up to 20 new product listings per day • Knowledge of internet search engines and E-commerce websites (eBay & Amazon). Job duties will be performed in our machining/manufacturing warehouse in Virginia Beach or in our storage warehouse located in north Suffolk where you will be exposed to varying noise levels & temperatures. Initial training/trial period of up to 2 weeks paid at $12 per hour to start. After the 2-week training period we will evaluate and consider you for long-term employment. After a 90-day trial period a performance review will be held where your hourly wage can increase up to $15 per hour based on performance and efficiency. This position is full-time and the hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm.
