Athletic event staff play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient management of our athletic events. The athletic event staff member will assist with the execution of high quality athletic event sport programs..
Under the direct supervision of the Event Director, the primary duties of an athletic event staff member include tasks such as: staging the event (setting-up and striking); helping guests navigate the venue; acting as a ticket receptionist; guest greeter; customer service representative; or other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Athletic event staff members are part of a larger team that help prepare a venue for hosting the athletic event. Event staff can work a number of positions in a given time and can be assigned responsibilities and tasks based on the needs of the event. The goal of the athletic event staff is to operate a safe, streamlined, and enjoyable experience for guests and participants. (3 - 6 Hours)
Qualifications for Position:
Events at some venues will be outside in various elements, like sun, heat, and rain and must be able to work in varying elements;
Must maintain a positive attitude and be willing to take direction from supervisors and peers;
Ability to work in a team environment to accomplish the goal of hosting a high quality, safe, enjoyable athletic event;
Must be willing and able to move objects of 20-30 lbs. with regularity;
Prior experience working in a customer service role is preferred.
