Seeking a diligent and responsible superintendent with an eye for details and a friendly demeanor for general maintenance of a 40-unit self-run coop in South Brooklyn. Duties include daily care-taking of the property in addition to regular cleaning and upkeep of hallways, basement, courtyard and common areas; garbage; snow removal and storm preparation; and emergency incidents; additional duties as requested by the board. Knowledge of plumbing and general contracting would be ideal, but we will consider all candidates. $500 monthly stipend plus rent-free 2-bedroom apartment on premises and two weeks’ annual vacation. While the super may accept work off-site, they must prioritize the building and be responsive between 10am-6pm. Daily responsibilities usually take 1 to 2 hours, and weekly duties can total 10-15 hours. Must be conversant in English. References and referrals absolutely required and will be contacted.
