As part of the Custom Fabrication team your mission is to make flawless carbon fiber parts that help Parlee Cycles meet production quotas and produce bicycles that reach the highest standards. This is a great position for someone who want to get into the carbon fiber industry. The Composite Technician contributes to the construction of our performance bicycle tube-sets, built to order, using composite construction processes and high quality materials. The team member should be motivated by the opportunity to learn while building best-in-class bicycles with like-minded craftspeople. In this position you will: • Work from order sheets and verbal instructions • Fabricate, assemble, and perform composite layup of tubes • Operate ovens, presses, and the Autometrix automated cutting system. • Maintain kit inventory by checking stock and producing layup kits. • Maintain a clean and orderly environment and equipment by completing maintenance requirements. Skills and Qualifications • Focus on quality • Mechanical and technical skills • Good dexterity and hand eye coordination • Solid written and verbal communication skills • Basic computer know how • Physical stamina and strength • Able to lift up to 50 pounds • Preform repetitive tasks • Able to work 8 hour shifts standing • Reliable and punctual • Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude • Highschool diploma or GED Parlee Cycles offers full time employees health insurance, paid holidays, vacation, and sick time.
