Position: Assembly Worker
Location: Juneau, Alaska
Type: Part-Time, 10-30 hours per week, flex-schedule
Duration: At least 2 months, maybe more
Duties:
• Complete multi-step manual manufacturing processes to make fishing bait products.
• Learn, master, and execute hand assembly steps.
• Repeat assembly steps numerous times in the completion of a daily production quota.
• Be able to read and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Be able to handle handheld tools safely and proficiently.
• Work in the standing position at a stationary station during the work shift.
• Pay attention to details, and take immediate action to correct a process error.
• Maintain focus and repeat manufacturing tasks with speed and efficiency.
• Be able to understand manufacturing targets and be a team member in meeting production goals.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding Appanage Fishing’s proprietary information and processes.
Qualifications:
• Must read, comprehend, and follow verbal, written, and illustrative instructions to complete manufacturing processes.
• Must be able to use basic math to track production.
• Must be able to write production notes and records.
• Must be able to work independently and as a member of a small manufacturing team.
• Must be at least 16 years old due to work in a manufacturing facility per Alaska law.
Conditions and Requirements:
• Be able to continuously use hands, arms, and torso to complete manual manufacturing steps and processes.
• Be able to stand at a stationary workstation for prolonged periods.
• Be able to communicate effectively with other workers and work as a team to achieve goals.
• Be able to lift loads to 40 pounds.
