This course is taught by Bob Alexander, retired Senior Associate Director and adjunct professor for the Institute for Pastoral Leadership.
This 9 week course is part of the Institute for Pastoral Leadership, Catechteical Coordinator curriculum and is available to non-registered students to audit. As such, this course will not require homework assignments to be turned in by these audit students.
This Ecclesiology course will investigate the nature of the Catholic Church, through biblical images, contemporary models, and the creedal ‘marks’ of the Church. It will address the origins, aim, and mission of the Church. The course will also address contemporary challenges faced by the Church in terms of her relationship with the State as well as ecumenical and inter-religious dialogue.
"Ecclesiology" will be held on Monday evenings at SS. Peter & Paul Parish, 36 N. Ellsworth Street, Naperville, IL 60540 from 7:00-9:00 PM from February 14-April 25, 2022 in Room U227 of the Ministry Center (between the Church and the Junior High building). We will not be meeting on April 11 or April 18.
