Experience a behind-the-scenes tour of the production methods at Coastal Roots and learn about their innovative practices and programs.
Coastal Roots Farm is a nonprofit community farm and education center. They are located in Encinitas on approximately 17 acres of land. The farm consists of vegetable production fields, education farm and gardens, a food forest, chickens, and compost operations.
Central to the farm's work is their commitment to reducing community hunger by growing and distributing fresh, organic produce and eggs to those most marginalized. They inspire environmental stewardship through high-quality, farm-based educational programming for youth and adults, and foster a healthier, more vibrant and inclusive community and a more sustainable future for our region.
The Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club has a special interest in Coastal Roots. We whole-heartedly support the amazing work they do, and through our annual grant program, Coastal Roots has been the recipient of several RSFGC grants.
We invite you to join us on this tour and learn about the history, growth and multitude of ways that Coastal Roots Farm supports the community year after year.
