Miramar Commissioner, Alexandra P. Davis has planned a series of events to celebrate Black History Month and Reggae Month under the theme “Black History Meets Reggae”. A full slate of events will be announced to the media for distribution to the public.
February is Black History Month as well as Reggae Month and this is cause for celebration of our Culture and Heritage. Bob Marley’s birthday celebration is also another reason why the month of February is special to highlight the accomplishments of our past heroes and legendary icons.
Commissioner Davis will be working closely with Jamaica’s Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, Consul General to Miami and other agencies to highlight some of the events as part of the official Jamaica 60th Celebrations.
