Looking to add a Rain Barrel to your home landscape? Get one to take home and make at this rain barrel kit pick-up and workshop. When: March 9, from 6:30pm - 7:30pm Where: Willowick Library, 263 E 305th St, Willowick, OH 44095 MAP THIS Get ready for World Water Day on March 22 by joining Natalie Gertz-Young, Education/Information Coordinator of the Lake County Soil and Water Conservation District as she explains what a rain barrel is, how to use collected rain water, what makes a rain barrel well designed, potential problems, troubleshooting and the importance of rain barrels in curbing storm water pollution. When you register, you will be sent a confirmation that has an instructional video about how to make your barrel at home. All you need is your own drill! Pre-payment is required. A rain barrel is a container used to collect and store rainwater that would otherwise be lost to runoff and likely diverted to a storm drain. Collected water may then be used to water lawns and gardens.
