"I Board" is a Community lead program to teach BIPOC Girls to Snowboard at Theodore Wirth Park, open to girls 9-13 that live Northside.
Girls Ages 8- 13 can learn to snowboard taught by Community members supported by experienced woman and BIPOC snowboarders in the cozy Northside confines of Theodore Wirth Park. The equipment and coaching are provided. We will have extra clothing but please wear snow pants, warm jackets, and mittens. Also wear socks above the ankle. A mask is required . Helmets will be provided. The Program is part of reopening a small snowboard hill at Theodore Wirth Park and support young people to learn in their neighborhood. We will spend 5-6 weeks growing skills at Theo and then venture out to Elm Creek , Hyland Hills, Trollhaugen and possibly Spirit Mountain.
