Ready for the challenge? Bootcamp, a 5K run/walk, yoga, meditation and bonus classes with a DJ outdoors in a local preserve. The Inaugural Manatee FITFest is a showcase of the healthy living options within Manatee County and our surrounding cities while enjoying being outdoors in a favorite local preserve. This day is all about community: bringing together a bootcamp by Anna Neal of Livefit Training, a 5K run/walk presented by Run for a Purpose Nutrition, a yoga experience with Phil of American Yogi and a guided meditation by Ria Ray. Following the mainstage events, you can choose your own adventure by partaking in other scheduled workshops/specialty classes like hooping, acro yoga, paddleboard and more to be announced! From Mr. Bongos DJing on the main stage to lawn activities, grabbing a healthy lunch or shopping local vendors in the marketplace, there’s plenty to do when you’re not on your mat. The whole family is welcome to this fun filled day! From ecological testing of our estuaries’ water quality to organizing yoga classes for the visitors to our beaches to offering classes for healthy relationships, the Parks & Natural Resources Department staff take to heart their responsibilities of ensuring we are all surrounded by a safe and beautiful environment that will enhance the quality of life for all in Manatee County.
