Universal Controls, LLC is looking for Install Technicians. This role is temporary with a strong intention of being a permanent team member as soon as possible. Universal Controls LLC designs, manufactures, installs, and services custom automated CO2 enrichment, full environmental control, irrigation, and nutrient delivery control systems for the cannabis industry. Technician/Installer Job Description: Collaborates to improve Universal Controls, LLC’s Installation, and fabrication manufacturing operations. Works with the team to organize daily installation operations. Document tools, parts, equipment, and or job install box. Perform installations for all and any capacity. Travel will be required. Serve existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule and service orders; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems. Install, troubleshoot, repair, and configure PLC systems, electrical systems, plumbing/irrigation systems. Verify that all control systems function by testing equipment, connections, and signals; identify and correct root cause problems. Learn to troubleshoot on PLC control systems installed by Universal Controls, LLC. Calibration of CO2 sensors, pumps, nutrient delivery controls, as well as other equipment. Communicate with Senior Operations Technician, Engineer, and others on a frequent basis regarding the progress and coordination of the project to ensure the most efficient installation of electrical equipment possible. Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. Collaborate with all staff on the above documentation. Be involved in all job-related meetings and provide the office with all required documentation in a timely manner. Communicate with all staff so they are aware of material onsite or back-ordered as well as changes within each project. Completes required subordinate evaluations and provides timely and appropriate feedback Available to work overtime and or/irregular business hours as requested. Essential Job Functions: Climb Tall Ladders Able to Lift Medium to High Weights Use Power Tools and Hand Tools Lift, measure, and cut large pieces of wood and schedule 80 piping Work well with others and maintain a positive attitude. Maintain good relationships with customers while on job sites. Reporting skills using Xcel, Word, Adobe, Tablets, Smartphones, and computers. Maintain the highest confidentiality. Troubleshooting and analyzing information both physical systems and data-based. Travel 90% Driver’s License with No Restrictions
