RowHouse 43 Blues Band is seeking a lead/slide guitarist for our classic rock and blues band. Some vocals is a plus. The ideal musician is one who embraces sound/performance dynamics within the philosophy of a group oriented project, while performing as the featured guitarist. The band currently has a female vocalist, rhythm guitarist, keyboard player, bassist, and drummer. The band, a down to earth (and relatively progressive) group of current and retired business professionals, plays at a studio/music room at the rhythm guitarist's home in Cherry Creek, targeted for every other week, alternating with weekly rehearsals at a studio. A prospective member must have the willingness and desire to commit to a rehearsal once per week. Artists covered include The Stones, Little Feat, Clapton/Derek and the Dominos, Hendrix, Delbert McClinton, Spirit, Joe Bonamassa, Robert Palmer, Tom Petty, Bonnie Raitt, Samantha Fish, Beth Hart, Susan Tedeschi, ArcAngels, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Allman Brothers, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Grateful Dead, etc. Playing music mostly for the fun of it, and therapy for the mind and soul--although we are getting ready for gigs at venues and private parties that crave our timeless sound.
