MERRICK, NY — Two vehicles were involved in a crash on Thursday morning in Merrick. One SUV overturned at the intersection of Merrick Road and Fox Boulevard. The driver was extricated from the vehicle, police said. It happened just before 11:30 a.m. as the Merrick Fire Department assisted with the rescue. The victim was alert and conscious. Police did not know if any hospitalizations were necessary.
