We are seeking a mechanic to repair and maintain diesel engine trucks and equipment for a paving company located in Islip

Responsibilities:
Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
Performs thorough, accurate Preventative Maintenance inspections.
Following scheduled maintenance operations including lubrication, fluid changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotation.
Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
Documents all work performed and recommended in system
Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Welding experience a plus
