MILFORD, CT — A man was arrested after he refused to leave Eli's Tavern in Milford overnight Sunday, Milford police said.
On Sunday at around 1:35 a.m., Milford police responded to a "possible breach of peace incident" at the restaurant, which is located at 21 Daniel St.
There, Matthew Daza, 25, of Hamden was allegedly "being belligerent" toward the restaurant's employees and another woman, police said.
Police told him several times that he was no longer allowed on the property, but he failed to comply, police said.
"He later urinated in the holding cell of Milford Police HQ," a police report reads.
Daza was charged with second-degree breach of peace, first-degree criminal trespassing and third-degree criminal mischief, police said.
He was released on a promise to appear in court, with a court date scheduled for Feb. 14.
