HERNDON, VA — Most college and university students have return to their campuses for the spring semester. Over the winter break and into the new year, their schools have announced various honors achieved by students during the fall academic term. Patch is taking this opportunity to share the achievements of local college students. Here is the latest information provided by Merit Pages News about Herndon students receiving honors from their college or university: Noah Halterma of Herndon was named to the dean's list at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania for the fall 2021 semester. Muhlenberg College School of Continuing Studies students must earn a GPA of 3.50 or higher to be named to the dean's list. Lucas Robins of Herndon is one of the 1,300-plus cadets and students recognized for their academic achievements during the fall 2021 semester at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. Robins was named to the dean's list for the semester by earning a 3.2 GPA and having no grade below C. Robins also was one of 600 cadets to participate in the Jan. 28 gold star parade, which he earned by achieving a 3.7 GPA for the fall 2021 semester Lucas Johnson, a business administration major from Herndon, was named to the 2021 fall semester dean's list at Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia. Johnson earned the honor by posting a 3.4 or grade point average or above. The following students from Reston were named to the dean's list for the fall 2021 semester at the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware: Joshua NagyArden TitusJasper PeraltaSathiya Kannan To be eligible for the dean's list, students must earn a 3.5 or higher grade point average for that semester. Sienna E. Sullivan, a professional writing and psychology majorfrom Herndon, was named to the 2021 fall semester dean's list at Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia. Sullivan earned the honor by posting a 3.4 or grade point average or above. Mitchell J. Vedder, a business administration major from Herndon, was named to the 2021 fall semester dean's list at Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia. Vedder earned the honor by posting a 3.4 or grade point average or above. John E. Vetter, a business administration major from Herndon, was named to the 2021 fall semester dean's list at Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia. Vetter earned the honor by posting a 3.4 or grade point average or above. Emma Shacochis of Herndon, a student in the writing, lit & pub: publishing, class of 2023, was named to Emerson College's dean's list for the fall 2021 semester. To earn this distinction, students must earn a 3.7 or higher grade point average for that semester. Eleanor Wichman of Herndon was among the more than 6,900 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa named to the dean's list for the 2021 fall semester. Wichman is fourth year student in Iowa's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and is majoring in neuroscience. Students must earn a 3.50 GPA or higher on nine semester hours or more of UI graded coursework during a given semester to make the dean's list.
