Here are the top four stories today in New Orleans: New Orleans police responded to a SWAT situation in Seabrook where a man had barricade himself inside his home and fired at law enforcement. (WDSU New Orleans) D.A. Jason Williams announces major indictments against a group of four who committed a one-day crime spree throughout NOLA. Some suspects are already out on bond, but the DA made promises to keep them in jail for a long time. (WDSU New Orleans) Five people had to be extricated and airlifted following an I-59 crash by St. Tammy first responders on Wednesday. (FOX 8 Live WVUE) NOPD is considering reimplementing 'proactive component' to address city's ongoing crime surge. The task force is expected to be similar to the ones disbanded in 2020, though with considerable updates.
