CONCORD, NH — The Mega Millions jackpot continues to climb after there was no winner on Tuesday. The New Hampshire Lottery expects Friday's drawing to be around $421 million. The one-time cash payout is expected to increase to $291 million before taxes are taken out. Estimated jackpot amounts are determined before taxes are withheld, Charlie McIntyre, the executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery, said. "We absolutely love to see this Mega Millions jackpot continuing to grow to an estimated $421 million," he said, "and you can feel the excitement building among our players and retailers. Jackpot runs like this support our overall sales growth in a big way, as players not only purchase Mega Millions tickets, but they also tend to check out the other exciting games and promotions we offer." Mega Millions has had 27 straight drawings without a winner. A player in Arizona purchased a $108 million ticket in October 2021. Tickets are on sale at more than 1,200 retailers statewide and online at NH iLottery. For more information and to play, visit nhlottery.com. Since 1964, the lottery has contributed more than $2.3 billion to education in the Granite State based on more than $8 billion in sales during the past 57 years. Got a news tip?
