BERKELEY, CA — Berkeley's omicron may plateau and wane within a matter of days, Berkeley's top health official said, according to a published report.
Berkeley Health Officer Dr. Lisa Hernandez offered cautious optimism about the hyper-contagious variant possibly starting to fizzle soon during a presentation before the City Council on Tuesday, Berkeleyside reports.
But Hernandez urged caution moving forward amid uncertainty about future variants.
"This is probably not going to be the last surge that we will see, because we will continue to see variants until we have more vaccination globally," Hernandez said, according to the report.
