**Qualified Pipe layer: $30 - $35 per hour** **Laborer: $25 - $30 per hour** Thompson Excavating Inc. is a demolition, excavation and underground utility installation company based out of Maple Valley. Our company owner has been in the industry for well ver 30 years and has owned his own company for a successful 22 years so far. Our client basis & most of our work is done throughout the City of Seattle, but we accept jobs all over Western Washington. We have many long-standing clients that we perform work for and for which we are their #1 dirt company. We are able to obtain and, more importantly, keep these clients because of our impeccable customer service, communication & the consistent, top-quality work that we produce. Our company owner is always willing and able to help teach & train employees on any aspect of the job that that an employee feels they aren't fully knowledgeable with or able to complete. Even if it's just quickly running through an idea on how to best accomplish a task, he is there to help! If there is something, or somewhere, that an employee wants to learn or improve their skills with, we are more than happy to help facilitate the learning process. Whether it's taking a training class or just some specific one-on-one instruction in the office or out on the jobsite, we are always there to help you improve. We are looking for an experienced excavation & underground utilities Pipe Layer/Laborer to join our team. This person must be a skilled and/or specializes in dirt work, excavation and installing underground utilities for new construction. We need someone who is motivated, reliable & takes initiative in completing day to day tasks. You must be able to take direction and follow a task through to completion. Good communication between you and your jobsite foreman a must. You will also be expected to have the skills needed to use everyday hand tools specific to this construction field of work.
