TREC is a small general contracting company working mainly in residential construction. We design and build both residential remodels and custom homes. Our in-house work is varied and may cover all aspects of builds depending on the project size. We do not travel, work 40-45 hours a week, and never work weekends. We rarely, if ever, miss work. We have been in business for 22+ years, do top quality work, and are looking for a long term employee to grow with us. Position Summary The Lead Carpenter is responsible for the successful completion of each project, bringing projects in on time while maintaining a high level of quality, safety, professional communication, and cost control. In addition to being an excellent framing and finish carpenter, he or she should exhibit a positive attitude, good judgment, high ethical standards, good oral and written communication skills and strong leadership abilities. Minimum Qualifications · Be a self-starter and independent worker with attention to detail. · Minimum 10 years of experience in residential construction and remodeling, 7 years of which is rough and/or trim carpentry. · Thorough knowledge and basic skills for the other primary trades of residential construction & remodeling. These include demolition, rough carpentry, concrete, basic HVAC / Elec / Plumbing, drywall, painting, flooring, finish carpentry & cabinets, window, door, roofing, and siding installation. · Basic understanding of other related trades. · Must be able to perform physical activities, often standing or walking all day. Other physical demands may include lifting up to 100 lbs, climbing, balancing, bending, crouching, kneeling, and crawling. · Must have own basic carpentry tools including, but not limited to, tool belt, electric cords, cordless drills, circular, jig, reciprocating, and oscillating saws, marking & leveling tools, and various other tools commonly needed for residential construction. · Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable ‘label free’ van or truck capable of carrying 4’ x 8’ sheet of material as well as material up to 16’ in length. · These are minimum qualifications. Minimum Duty List · Perform tasks while leading a small team of TREC employees. · Maintain a clean, neat, & safe job site at all times. · Initiate & maintain daily update communication with Clients, Subcontractors, & the In-house TREC team. · Maintain daily Job Logs. · These are minimums. A more qualified candidate would have more involved project management duties and responsibilities. Benefits - This is a payroll position. - Overtime pay is 1-1/2 rate. It is not required nor is it guaranteed. - Paid time off (PTO). Up to 4 weeks. - Retirement IRA w/ company maximum matching. - $18 for candidates meeting minimums - Up to $25 per hour with a company truck Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
