Description
His name is Scout. We got him at 6 weeks but his heeler brain needs a job. He’s become bored and can be very aggressive to other dogs. Sometimes to other people NEVER ANYONE IN THE HOUSE. He has never actually bitten anyone but he does pick on our other dogs who have gotten minor injuries from him. One of them is showing signs of anxiety and we think it has to do with Scouts behavior toward him. We have kids in the house and he does well with them unless one of the toddlers gets too rough. I’d recommend he go to a family with only older kids for that reason or be an outside farm dog where he’d have space from the littles. We’d like to make sure his new home is his forever home so I would like information on your living situation to help make sure it’s a good fit. He is a super smart dog. I just have four kids I homeschool and have other pets, including not only the other dogs but birds. He does not do with with birds as you can imagine. He has caught live wild birds in our backyard. He has gotten into our chicken coup (one of the kids left the gate unlatched, he did not break into the coop) and when our indoor birds make noise he runs to that room trying to get them. Due to all the mentioned things above he is locked up more then is fair to him. I just want him to be happy and cared for in the ways he needs. Please contact me via text or email with some info about yourself. We would like to charge a rejoining fee as well to make sure his new family has the means to care for him financially as well as mentally.
