Description
I have a Grand Cayman female she is close to 2 years old. I had got her from a family member that no longer wanted her. She is not a pet you can hold, she rather be on her own without the cuddles. She is not very friendly.
She is a rare Iguana and she is not on the FWC list of the Green Iguana where you can no longer keep without proper permits. She is very healthy, but she does a club tail where it broke and grew back clubbed, it can be repaired by snipping of the end of her tail, but I don’t have the heart to do so. She will be aprox. 5-6 ft fully grown and she can weigh up to 20 lbs plus - she is still considered a baby. She is on daily calcium, weekly multivitamins, and get electrolytes soaks 2 times a week. She loves to swim in the pool and stay on the bottom for a bit, but I only allow her to swim when weather permits of course.
You can rarely find this type of Iguana, and you will not see them in pet stores. If you do find one most likely you have to have them shipped as hatchlings for between $300-$600
There is a rehoming fee to ensure she goes to a good home. She does not come with a enclosure for her enclosure is my back screened room and she has a pool area.
I would love to see her go to someone who is familiar with her or reptiles, because I would hate to rehome her to someone and they give her the improper care due to lack of knowledge and she gets sick or possibly pass away especially right now in the cooler months. If interested please contact me.
Thank you
