Hey hey,
I've played in several cover bands over the years and other one-off gigs, never seriously. I've played fingerstyle acoustic guitar for a couple weddings. Been playing since the 90s.
I took a break from music after kids, but not they're old enough where I can leave the house a bit more. Ideally I'd like to play for a cover band that plays for people. I love "art/niche" music when done well, but at this point in my life I'd rather play for the masses.
A gigging wedding band, cover band, female songwriter, etc. would be most interesting for me. Even a Paco De Lucia / Al Dimeola super-group would be cool as well.
Influences: Santana, Gilmour, Al Dimeola, Randy Rhoads, Michael Akerfeldt, Michael Hedges come to mind. On electric I'm more of a rock guitarist with some latin and metal (tasteful dissonance) influences but find myself doing just fine jamming along Rihanna tunes. On acoustic I borrow a lot from Peter Finger, Al Dimeola, and Opeth styles.
Thanks for your consideration! I can send shitty half-assed sound samples/arrangements.
