Description
PGS is in need of an experienced Apprentice Mechanic who is motivated. We ask for similar activities and long-term aspirations to grow with us. This position will require for you to report to Safety and Maintenance Department and is responsible for assisting leadership in creating and achieving goals.
Primary responsibilities:
· Review daily vehicle inspection report submitted by drivers and correct easily repairable items. i.e. tires, lights, mudflaps etc.
· Perform scheduled Preventive/periodic maintenance
· Ensure trucks are in safe operating condition
Secondary responsibilities:
· Assist lead mechanics in more complex repairs
· Advance skills by partnering with lead mechanics
· Create work orders and repair documents for compliance
Qualifications
· 6 months experience in heavy truck maintenance
· Bi-Lingual a plus
· Experience with Microsoft word and Excel
· High school diploma or equivalent
· We value accuracy over speed.
Schedule
· Full time AM and PM shifts available
Reports to: Fleet Manager
