Event Decor Company in Rockland County, NY looking for a motivated individual to join our team! We are looking for someone that wants to work and make money! This is a Monday through Saturday job but during our busy season there are late nights and some Sundays required as well. During the quieter seasons, we offer paid time off, as well as flexible hours. Responsibilities- Monday - Friday (At our Location): Using machinery, circular saws, power tools, x-acto blades and more to build and assemble large scale party decor items including signage and centerpieces. Must have a steady hand and to be able to handle working with these tools and be extremely detail-oriented and organized, these are pieces that need to be executed to perfection! Weekends - (Mostly Saturdays/Some Sundays- at Event Venues) Loading & Driving Large Vehicles, Setting up events including handling heavy equipment, helium tanks, inflating and tying balloons, hanging signage, rigging ceiling treatments, basic wiring. Requirements- Ability to handle power tools, x-acto knives, guillotine cutters, electric saws Must be able to handle pressure and deadlines Detail-oriented Steady hands Hard working and Motivated Committed Positive-Attitude Team Player Experience in wood-working/carpentry and basic electric work is a HUGE PLUS! -Valid Drivers License and ability to drive large vehicle REQUIRED- Must be ready and willing to work late nights and long weekends during our busy season. There is plenty of quiet time for shorter hours and vacations but when we are busy we expect 100% Commitment!! There is Huge Room for Growth and Advancement in this Position!! This is a fun, fast paced environment and an amazing opportunity for the right individual! We will train but would like some experience or proof of skills in some of the areas mentioned above. The payment is based on experience, willing to negotiate after training period.
