Position: Part- Time Irrigation Technician Department: Irrigation Reports To: Operations Manager Job Type: Full time, Non-exempt Role (Overview of the Position) ● Responsible for irrigation system reviews, repairs, installations and drainage pipes. Ensure proper functionality, coverage and spraying of sprinkler heads in order to provide turf, plants, and vegetation with ample water to live. Use valve locator to locate valves and possible wire breaks or niks. Reprogram, replace and rewire timers and valves. Replace sprinklers, backflows, pumps, relays, and other various components. Install French drain systems. Submit documentation of all work completed, as well as create estimates and proposals for additionally needed work efforts and upsell. Provide emergency response and repair when needed. Drive van and trailer combo. Responsibilities (Tasks Associated with the Role) ● Perform irrigation reviews of system and repair after approval of budget ● Install irrigation zones or entire irrigation systems, per county code ● Locate breaks and/or failures in system and repair/replace components ● Install French drain systems up to 200’ ● Drive van to and from job-sites and maintain van and equipment in safe and operable condition Results (Expected Accomplishments) ● Complete irrigation work that drives revenue for the department and company ● Thorough work that results in 100% operable irrigation systems ● Healthy turf, plants, and vegetation that receive amble water to live ● Proper flow of installed drainage pipes ● Safe operation of van and equipment Requirements (Expected Proficiencies) ● High school diploma or equivalency ● 2+ years experience with irrigation repair and system maintenance ● Valid Driver's License with 5 years of a CLEAN driving record ● Ability to use power tools, valve locator, and trencher This job description is not all-inclusive and certain activities, duties or responsibilities may be required of the employee as needed.
