I was wondering if there were any personal mechanics on here. I just bought a 1999 camry. 119,000 miles, 1 owner. Just had the exhaust fixed, brakes, steering, muffler. Passed inspection. Day I got it I went over a puddle, check engine light came on. Took it to autzone, said EGR valve replacement. Read labor could be $400 at commercial. Doesn't seem super hard to do, I'd offer $75. Part is $50. I would do it but I don't have tools.
