Mr. Cooper is a Citizen of Cherokee Nation and has been weaving since 2015. He learned while working as an Indian Child Welfare Specialist for Cherokee Nation Indian Child Welfare. He found that teaching kiddos weave helped children in fostercare cope by finding a better connection to their native culture. He has since taught classes to hundreds of students and has been featured in the Cherokee Phoenix Newspaper and as a guest speaker/instructor at the University of Oklahoma. He currently resides in the Oklahoma City, OK area.
We are a Cherokee owned Native American Art co-op working to promote Cherokee & Native American Culture.
