L.L.Bean Fly Tying Series Class meets on 2nd floor of Hunting & Fishing Store Week 10 Deceiver Saltwater Streamer. Fly fishing legend Lefty Kreh created the Deceiver as a non-specific saltwater baitfish imitation fly. It is now considered one of the best known saltwater flies in the world. The color combinations for the Deceiver are endless, throwing a Chartreuse Deceiver into a school of surface busting Stipers is arguably the most fun one can have with a fly rod. For those days when the fish are being finicky make sure you have a white and blue Herring colored Deceiver, it’s an irresistible snack to a sulking Striper. For the health and safety of all, and per the Town of Freeport mandate, we are requiring event attendees to wear masks regardless of vaccination status. Masks and hand sanitizing stations will be available. Please practice social distancing by keeping six feet apart.
