Join Zonta for a champagne brunch and film screening of 'I was a Child Bride'. Zonta's mission is to improve & empower women and girls! Doors open at 9:00 am and the film starts at 10:00 am. I Was A Child Bride Because of state law loopholes, in the past 15 years an estimated 200,000 girls have been forced into marriage in the US, at least 5% aged 15 or younger. I Was a Child Bride reveals the heart-wrenching stories of child marriage victims who help to shine a light on this national epidemic with the hope that no child will ever have to be a victim again. This fundraiser by the Zonta Club of Denver Foundation will finance projects of the Zonta Club of Denver and Zonta International, empowering women and girls in the Denver area and around the world.
