Come join us for an amazing day of fitness and fun! The 631 Pound for Pound Throwdown is a Strongman style competition meant for EVERYONE. Come join us for an amazing day of fitness and fun!  The 631 Pound for Pound Throwdown is a Strongman style competition meant for EVERYONE.  All ages, all levels, male and female. This competition is unique in that each event will be based on your body weight.  This means all athletes will have a fair and level playing field. Men will be competing against women, 300+ pounders against 90 pounders, 70 year olds against 17 year olds!   A puchased ticket will also allow you to gain access to three Strongman classes held before the competition Saturdays at 9am.  These classes will allow those of you not familiar with these movements to become more comfortable with them, and allow seasoned vets to work on technique.   Weigh ins will be at 8:30 am sharp! There will be no use of tacky, lifting straps, grip shirts, or squat suits. Chalk, belts, wraps (knee and wrist), lifters, and sleeves (knee and elbow) will all be permitted. Events 1. Axle Deadlift @ 1.5x Bodyweight Athletes will have 1 minute to acquire as many repetitions as possible of a 1.5x body weight axle Deadlift.  Each Deadlift must start fully rested on the floor and a good rep will be called at full lock out. No bouncing of bar will be permitted.  Traditional or mixed grip will be permitted. No wraps or tacky may be added to the axle. Chalk, knee wraps, and belts are permitted. The athlete with the most successful lifts will win the event.     2. Axle Back Squat @ 1x Bodyweight Athletes will have 1 minute to acquire as many repetitions as possible of a body weight axle Back Squat.  Each Back Squat must start in a fully upright position, travel through parallel at the bottom of the squat and end back in a locked out position. Axle will start on a rack and may be racked as needed.  No wraps or tacky may be added to the axle. Chalk, knee wraps, and belts are permitted. The athlete with the most successful lifts will win the event.     3. Axle Bench Press @ .75 Bodyweight Athletes will have 1 minute to acquire as many repetitions as possible of a .75x body weight axle Bench Press.  Each Bench Press must start in a fully locked out position, arms straight, shoulders and lower back on bench, with both feet on the floor. Axle must touch the athlete's chest and return to the starting position to be called a good rep. No bouncing off the chest will be permitted. No arching off the bench will be permitted. Axle will start on a rack and may be racked as needed.  No wraps or tacky may be added to the axle. Chalk, knee wraps, and belts are permitted. The athlete with the most successful lifts will win the event.     4. Tie Breaker A special tire flip and atlas stone medley.
