The Allen Philharmonic Orchestra & Symphony Chorus welcomes the FUMC Chancel Choir in a performance of Mozart’s Requiem in D minor. Join us on Friday, February 25th at 7:30pm in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church of Allen (FUMC) for an evening of reflection as the Allen Philharmonic Orchestra & Symphony Chorus welcomes the FUMC Chancel Choir in a performance of Mozart’s Requiem in D minor. Powerful and solemn, the Requiem is a luminous and wondrous work. Rusty King and Ben Turner will guest conduct this program. Soloists Kim Mathews, Soprano, Krista Butler, Mezzo-Soprano, Marc Dawson, Tenor, and Daniel Licktieg, Bass will be the featured soloists for this performance. Additional programming includes Mozart’s Ave verum corpus, Faure’s Cantique de Jean Racine, Albinoni’s Adagio for Strings, and selections from the sixth movement of Brahms’ Requiem. Tickets are priced at $25 for adult and $10 for students.
