Register for the College and Career Expo! Open to all parents, junior high and high school students throughout the community. While Arlington ISD students in grades 9 through 12 will attend a portion of the College and Career Expo in the classroom, parents from anywhere in the community can register now to attend the Expo at the Dan Dipert Career and Technical Center (CTC) on March 8 from 5:30 to 8 pm. This in-person event is specifically tailored for junior high and high school students and their parents. You don’t have to be an Arlington ISD family to attend. Guests will gain insight into college opportunities along with viable careers and trades available to students upon their high school graduation. Representatives from over 70 colleges, businesses and resource organizations will attend including the University of Texas at Arlington, Dallas Baptist University, Lockheed Martin and inspirED. Three information sessions will be open to all attendees at the Expo. The information sessions will run 40 to 45 minutes long on topics like: College Prep Paying for College College Athletic Recruiting & Scholarships Local businesses will conduct on-site interviews for summer and post-high school graduation positions, so we recommend that your teen dress in business-casual attire and bring several copies of their resume but this is not required. Admissions mentors will be available to help your students with college preparation questions. Translation services for Spanish-speaking students and parents will be available for the duration of the event.
