A guided journey to connect yourself to nature. Are you feeling stressed and overwhelmed? Do you feel depleted and worry that your immunity is not functioning optimally? Do you feel like you hear a voice calling you from somewhere just beyond your ability to discern? Are you wondering how you are going to survive this winter cooped up inside and disconnected? If so, then this experience may be just what your ancestor's doctor ordered. Laughing Tree Walks and Earthwork Programs invite you to join us on the afternoon of February 18th for a winter forest bathing experience. Using gentle invitations and embodiement practices, we will connect to our senses and awaken to the Winter Forest. Influenced by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku and Indigenous practices of the Vision fast, this experience provides an opportunity to slow down and hear the voice from the more-than-human-world. Come step on to the land at Earthworks and greet the Winter landscape. Warm yourself by our fire and share your experience with each other like our ancestors did. Who will emerge from the forest to greet you? What wisdom might emerge from within you? We will be outside for the entire walk. Please dress warmly. This is a slow guided walk through a forested habitat. This is not a hike and does not require any special, skill, knowledge, equipment, or experience. Covid-19 Protocol: This event will be held entirely outside with ample space for social distancing. The choice to wear a mask or not will be honored on an individual basis. If you sign up but are unable to attended because you are not feeling well your ticket will be refunded. Isaac Paulman is a certified Forest Therapy Guide and is the creator of Laughing Tree Life. He received certification through the Association of Forest Therapy Guides and Programs. The mission of Laughing Tree Life is to facilitate accessible and abundant opportunities for interaction between human animals and the more than human world.
