Grab those binoculars! Queering The Path is hosting our first ever bird watching event! This meetup is prioritizing QTBIPOC, we will be walking along the beautiful Tijuana River marshlands looking for shorebirds and discussing basic techniques for birdwatching. Our walk will be in a coastal estuary, and will focus on shorebirds but will have some general knowledge about birding. If you already have binoculars be sure to bring them. We will also have some for folx to share/borrow. What to bring: Binoculars (if you have them) Sunscreen Comfortable footwear Water & snacks What to expect: The walk will be about 3 miles, with very little elevation gain. There is very little shade coverage. This event is donation based. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. There is an option to register for free or donation.
