This week's presenter: Wings2Water This week's presenter: Wings2WaterWings2Water is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving water quality in the Mississippi River watershed. Using informational displays and crowdfunding tools at airports, we educate travelers while also fundraising from the millions who visit airports every day in the U.S. We use those funds to financially support local projects that are focused on improving water quality. Our overall mission is to ultimately reduce nutrient runoff and flood impacts, restore local water quality and eliminate the Dead Zone in the Gulf of Mexico. Our headquarters is based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. About 1 Million Cups Cedar Rapids1 Million Cups Cedar Rapids is a free, weekly program that happens nationwide designed to educate, engage, and connect entrepreneurs. Developed by the Kauffman Foundation, 1MC is based on the notion that entrepreneurs discover solutions and network over a million cups of coffee. Early-stage businesses and established companies facing interesting challenges are welcome to present their companies to a panel of experts for advice, and engage the audience in a question-and-answer session to encourage collaborative and honest conversations.
