Description
Christian Experience Weekend. The "Best Weekend of my Life," is how most participants describe a Christian Experience Weekend. CEW or Christian Experience Weekend is a renewal weekend for adults, designed to enable them to more deeply “experience” themselves and their relationship with God and the Christian community. It begins on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. The core of the CEW is in the process, which occurs as the weekend unfolds. Personal involvement of each participant is essential as the content of the weekend progresses from the awareness of self-worth, to relationship with God and others, and then to Christian mission. The weekend involves large and small group processes, and individual reflection. This weekend is an ecumenical experience designed to give the seeking Christian an opportunity to focus on his/her relationship with God, self, and others. You’ll find things at CEW that will change your life, along with friendship, community, laughter, great food, inspiration, motivation and a sense of what Christian life is really all about. You’ll also find a new depth of life and acceptance. You absolutely won’t regret giving up two days for this experience. It’ll do more for you than giving up chocolate for Lent and will help you experience the fullness of life that Christianity has to offer. A team of lay people, priests, sisters, and deacons conduct this ecumenical weekend. It includes inspirational talks, discussions, and various prayer services and your own personal time. There will be both male and female participants in this weekend. The weekend is held at the Blessed Maria Assunta Pallotta Middle School in Waterloo. All meals are included in the cost of the weekend. You will be sleeping in large (gym style) rooms with your own bedding. You will want to bring an air mattress, pillow and sleeping bag. Air mattresses are available to rent by selecting this as a ticket option. Bring your personal toiletries and hair dryer. The weekend is casual. We will supply all of your food, drinks and writing materials. You might consider bringing your own favorite mug or water bottle. CDC guidelines will be followed. Check in begins at 6:30-7:15 pm March 25th. Please be prompt. We look forward to seeing you.
