Networking and Exhibits Each year nurses from all over the Metrolina area gather to celebrate the nursing profession. The event begins with a networking and exhibit session from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. During this event they have the opportunity to spend time with other nurses and browse the exhibits. Exhibits range from professional to personal interests. Nurses may explore educational and/or job opportunities as well as purchase items from various vendors. At 6:00 pm the nurses move to the banquet area for a meal, a presentation from our guest speaker and door prizes. Exhibitors are invited to join the banquet. The Metrolina Council of Nursing Organizations  (MCONO) was founded in 1986 by a coalition of local nursing organization's presidents who began to plan for an annual "Celebrate Nursing" banquet for the greater Charlotte area.
