Write letters of encouragement and pack sunshine bags We have three exciting ways you can help: 1) Drop off clothes, non-perishable food, and school supplies to help families in need. 2) Write letters of encouragement to local voluntters. It can really difficult to maintain a faithful, persistant presence as a volunteer, especially in times as crazy and unpredictable as these. Many volunteers have served through covid and put themsevles at risk to make our community a better place to be! We have pens and paper at the event but you can also write it beforehand and dropoff with us. 3) Pack a "sunshine bag". It is normal to feel uneasy when strangers ask for money-- will it go to a good place, will they get resources they need? Any easy solution is. to keep a sunshine bag in your car. These are plastic bags with snacks, a cheap first aid kit, toothpaste, etc. Plus, they include a short handwritten note with directions to local resources. You can write these at the event or drop off on Sunday.
