Join us for a fun local hike with friendly people! Join us the 3rd Saturday each month for a 3-5ish mile hike at local trailheads. You'll have a chance to meet new people and build friendships with other hiking enthusiasts. These hikes are FREE and will be led by Tortoise and Hare Sports ambassadors. Hikes will vary in length and intensity. Please bring water and sensible trail shoes. Follow us on facebook for location and date confirmations. Let's go hike! Our May hike will be the beautiful Overton Loop Trail in Cave Creek Regional Park, a truly classic 3.5 mile Sonoran desert trail with lots of rugged terrain and single-track. We'll meet for a brief informational meeting, some stretching, and a chance to meet new friends before we enjoy the hike. Please arrive early to find parking and use the restrooms, and bring at least 32 ounces of water. We will be starting shortly after sunrise to beat the heat, but plan to bring a shady hat and sunscreen as well. After the hike we'll meet to visit with new friends and enjoy snacks and cold drinks provided by our friends and sponsors RUN-TRI-BIKE.
