Basic life support (BLS) training American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR & AED Cost: $53.34 Basic life support (BLS) training reinforces both lay-persons and healthcare professionals’ understanding of the importance of early CPR and defibrillation, performing CPR, choking relief, using an AED, and the role of each link in the Chain of Survival. Maximum class size of 20 students, first come first serve. The Disaster and Humanitarian Relief Student Collaborative (DAHR-SC) provides members with a unique experience by combining opportunities in research, philanthropy, and hands on emergency preparedness under one organization. The mission of DAHR-SC is to encourage students with similar interests to collaborate and work together to reach common goals through research and philanthropy. DAHR-SC will foster a Campus-Community Emergency Response Team (C-CERT) that will educate the community about disaster preparedness and the hazards our area is presented with.
