PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A pandemic pivot story in Park Slope is spreading its hopeful message across the country with a feature on Good Morning America. Sisters-in-law Danielle Edwards-Clarke and Mariama Delph-Clarke were featured on the popular TV show this week for transforming Edwards-Clarke's fitness studio into a new event venue, Atrium82 on Sixth Avenue. The pair's new business comes after Edwards-Clarke had to close her beloved fitness studio, The New Body Project, when the coronavirus crisis hit last year. "I just woke up one day and was like I'm tired of being in this position," Edwards-Clarke said on the show, which premiered on Monday. "...It seems like every roadblock has been hit — always, always keep pushing." Atrium82 combined Edwards-Clarke's space and business experience with Delph-Clarke's background in running events. The business launched in October and has been open for everything from baby showers, to birthday parties and soon, a wedding.
