Description
NATICK, MA — The site of two former brew pubs in Natick Center may soon become a mixed-use development.
Stonegate Group — the developer behind the St. Patrick's project — earlier this month pitched a 19-unit mixed-use project to the Design Review Board and Historical Commission. The development would include 5,000 square-feet of retail space on the first floor and an underground parking garage, according to the developer.
The building at 21 Summer St. was most recently home to the Kells Beer Co., whose owners announced the closure last spring. The building was home to the Barleycorn's Craft Brew pub until 2017 when Kells took over.
The single-story brick building is located across the street from The Center for Arts in Natick, and only about a half block from Main Street.
The Design Review Board did not vote on the proposal, and 21 Summer St. will be back up for discussion in February.
